New York -, Sports Illustrated Kids website, today unveiled a more contemporary and bolder look as part of a major homepage redesign.

According to SI Kids Managing Editor Bob Der, “We are extremely excited to be moving forward with our plan to give young sports fans a safe, constantly updated web experience built around fun and interactivity. And this is only the beginning. We have some really cool stuff planned for that we know our kids are really going to enjoy.”

The first original program featured on the site is “BobbleCenter,” a four-minute sportscast featuring BobbleHead dolls as anchors and athletes starring in mock highlights, interviews and updates from around the leagues. “BobbleCenter” will appear every two weeks on and is co-Executive Produced by Varsity Entertainment and Totem & Taboo Productions.

“We’ve brought an unconventional and creative look to the world of sports,” says Varsity’s Matt Morchower. “If you think what Kobe Bryant does on the court is impressive, wait until you see ’BobbleHead Bryant’ dunk with his head bouncing all over.”
