BMO Capital Markets Expands Financial Institutions Group

BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), has appointed Elizabeth Marin as Managing Director in the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Marin will focus primarily on identifying and providing strategic and financial solutions for a wide range of specialty finance companies.

“Liz brings more than 12 years of industry experience, and she will be a tremendous partner as we continue to expand our efforts in this important sector,” said Erik van Nispen, Head of BMO Capital Markets’ Financial Institutions Group in the U.S.

Marin was most recently with Wachovia Securities, where she was a Director in the Financial Institutions Group, focused on relationships in the specialty finance sector. Prior to that, she spent four years at Banc of America Securities, LLC as a Principal and Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group. From 1999 to 2001, Marin was a Vice President in Financial Institutions at Salomon Smith Barney. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fairfield University.
