Ricoh Americas Corporation Wins Eight "Best Awards" From Bertil

Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of document and printing solutions, announced today that it is the recipient of eight of BERTL’s Best® 2007 Awards. The first industry Multifunction Product (MFP) awards to focus on the end-user, BERTL’s Best Awards are recognized as the most prestigious awards in the digital imaging marketplace.
BERTL judges the awards based on a wide range of criteria that recognizes each function individually. All devices are analyzed across several parameters such as accessibility, design and build quality, standard functions, network management utilities, value-added software and more.

Ricoh received awards in the following categories: · Best Workgroup Color MFP Range With an Outstanding Print Feature Set: The Aficio MP C2500/C3000/C3500/C4500 Series was acknowledged for its expansive print features including the secure print-send function, advanced print clustering capabilities via SmartDeviceMonitor and the DesktopBinder utility, among others. · Best Workgroup Color MFP Range With an Outstanding Scan Feature Set: The Aficio MP C2500/C3000/C3500/C4500 Series was also recognized for its wide range of scanning features including a large responsive touch screen, embedded and server-based third party scanning applications, batch job build, and color dropout capabilities. · Best Front Office Duplicator Range: The Priport DX 3340 and DX 4542 were acknowledged for being the most productive digital duplicators for front office operations. BERTL cited several features including how heavy media is supported through all main supplies rather than just the bypass tray allowing longer uninterrupted printing. In addition, the devices were also praised for the desktop queue manager, large memory resources and user-friendly Refined Printer Command Stream (RPCS) driver. · Best Back Office Production Duplicator: The Priport HQ7000/9000 Series won for being the best duplicator for managing back office operations. The printers were praised for the 11x17 platen, Windows/GDI technology, high speed local USB 2.0 and overall ease of use. · Best Departmental Ledger Color Printer: The Aficio SP C811DN has been acknowledged as the premier departmental ledger color printer. The printer’s extensive features include high capacity paper input and output capabilities, user-friendly interface, Document Server print-on-demand utility and networking and desktop management capabilities via SmartDeviceMonitor, DesktopBinder Lite and Web Image Monitor. · Best Production Monochrome MFP Range With Outstanding Print Feature Set: The Aficio MP 9000/1100/1350 Series has been awarded as the best light production black-and-white MFP in its class due to its extensive print features, including the jogger unit and GBC StreamPunch III, queue manager, secure print-send capabilities, and powerful print processor and large memory resources. · Best Departmental Monochrome MFP Range With Outstanding Print Feature Set: The Aficio MP 5500/6500/7500 Series was recognized as having the best print feature set in its class. Features include a tab sheet and a cover inserter that extend the MFP’s document production capabilities, a jogger unit and GBC StreamPunch III, advanced print clustering capabilities and a large memory resource. · Most Productive Color Print Range: The Aficio SP C410DN/C411DN Series won the award for the most productive color print range in its class. BERTL cited the large memory and powerful print processor, the ability to support heavy media through all main supplies and the Job Binding feature as a few of the series’ outstanding qualities.
