Dow Polyurethanes Completes Acquisition of Hyperlast Systems Business

Dow Polyurethanes, a business group of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), announced today that it has completed the acquisition of British Vita’s polyurethane systems business, Hyperlast Limited. The Hyperlast acquisition includes elastomer systems enterprises in the United Kingdom and North America as well as Autothane Limited, a leading manufacturer of advanced automotive suspension components.

Dow announced its intention to acquire Hyperlast on March 5, pending regulatory approval. The acquisition supports Dow’s strategy to drive growth in its Performance portfolio in order to generate more consistent earnings. The addition of Hyperlast expands Dow’s ability to produce innovative spray cast elastomers for the marine, engineering resin, oil and gas pipeline and automotive industries for its customers around the globe.
