Sadlowski Named Chief Executive Officer for Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc.

Siemens Energy and Automation, Inc. (SE&A) today announced the appointment of Dennis Sadlowski, 46, as President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2007. Sadlowski succeeds Aubert Martin, 64, who is retiring after 40 years of outstanding service with Siemens.






Sadlowski started at SE&A in 2000 as Vice President and General Manager of the Electrical Apparatus business unit in Atlanta. From 2003 to 2006, Sadlowski relocated to Germany where he led the Siemens Automation and Drives Sensors business. In 2006, as part of the planned succession, he returned to Atlanta and SE&A as Chief Operating Officer, while concurrently managing the Power Distribution & Controls Division. Prior to joining Siemens, Sadlowski accrued nearly two decades of industry experience with GE and Thomas & Betts.

Mr. Sadlowski holds an M.B.A. from Seattle University and a B.S. degree in chemical and nuclear engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.






Aubert Martin began his career with Siemens in 1967 as an engineering trainee in Germany. He held a variety of engineering, sales and marketing, and business development positions within Siemens AG groups. Under Martin’s leadership as global president of the motion controls division of the Automation & Drives Group, the motion controls business captured the number-one market position worldwide. Prior to that assignment, he led the high-speed train division of Siemens Transportation Group.






In 2002, Martin was appointed CEO of Siemens Energy & Automation. During his 5-year tenure, the company doubled in volume to more than $3 billion by harnessing the teamwork and innovation of 10,000 employees. Significant accomplishments at SE&A include a major turn around and return to profitability, strong domestic volume growth, and the acquisition and integration of 11 companies into SE&A as well as the merger of three former units of Siemens Logistics & Assembly.






A native of Austria, Martin holds an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Vienna.
