Longtime Client Returns to MTM

WEBWIRE

LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO – April 24, 2007-
MTM today announced the return of longtime client, Children’s Mercy Family Health Partners (CMFHP). The two have a long, successful history together that dates back to 1996. Despite a brief separation earlier this year, the two entities will resume their business relationship effective July 1, 2007. CMFHP is a non-profit, provider-owned Medicaid managed care organization that provides no cost or low cost health care coverage for Missouri MC+ and Kansas HealthWave program members. With the health care coverage, members who have no other means of transportation are entitled to transportation to covered medical services. This service is known in the health care field as NEMT (non-emergency medical transportation).

In its founding year, CMFHP contracted with then one-year-old MTM for NEMT services in western Missouri. Over the years, CMFHP’s membership in Missouri grew to a current and approximate 42,000 Missouri MC+ members. CMFHP was awarded a contract by the Kansas Health Policy Authority to serve HealthWave members beginning January 1, 2007. CMFHP currently serves approximately 100,000 Kansas HealthWave members in the eastern two thirds of the state.

MTM is thrilled to once again serve Missouri CMFHP members and looks forward to serving the Kansas membership as well. President and CEO, Alaina Maciá said, “For me this represents a couple points- first, customer service is always king. Secondly, there truly is a place for a quality transportation management firm in the market. We will, of course, work to exceed CMFHP’s expectations for a smooth transition.”

“We are pleased to renew our relationship with MTM and believe MTM shares our commitment to service. We look forward to working together to serve the health care needs of our members,” said Bob Finuf, CMFHP CEO.

Serving health plans like CMFHP since 1995, MTM is small enough to be flexible, and large enough to be effective. MTM provides industry-leading programs in non-emergency transportation management for more than 1.8 million people annually. The company operates health care access and assessment programs in 30 states via 36 contracts with state and county governments, Medicaid and Medicare managed care organizations (MCO), and health care providers. MTM is a privately held woman-owned business enterprise headquartered in the Hawk Ridge area of Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
