Oracle Holds First-Ever Partner Technology Connection: Xtreme PTS

WEBWIRE

Delivering on its ongoing commitment to provide more tools and training to further enable partners on Oracle products, Oracle today announced the successful close of its inaugural Xtreme PTS (Platform Technology Solutions) Conference: The Total Partner Oracle Technology Connection. More than 300 technologists from 25 countries participated in the event, completed earlier this month, aimed at giving strategic Oracle partners the insight and skills to harness the power of the software company’s full technology product portfolio.
“Oracle Partners are critical to the company’s success so it is our job to ensure that they are trained with the vital technical skills, including essential knowledge of product strategy and direction, in order to keep them at the forefront of their respective markets,” said John Gawkowski, vice president of Platform Technology Solutions at Oracle. “Our Xtreme PTS event received an overwhelmingly positive response from our partner community and we look forward to expanding the program next year.”

With a focus on the market opportunities that will be created by the next versions of Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Enterprise Manager, the week-long session provided Oracle independent software vendor (ISV), system integrator (SI) and reseller partners with first-hand information on how to successfully implement Oracle software and increase customer satisfaction. Senior Oracle development executives delivered keynotes including product strategy addresses from Andy Mendelsohn, Thomas Kurian, and Richard Sarwal, senior vice presidents of development for Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle System Management Products respectively. Deep dive technical briefings on Oracle infrastructure software as well as hands-on labs for over 25 products and features were also available as breakout tracks. In addition, partners were able to meet with Oracle product executives, development staff and technologists to discuss and influence future product direction. The company plans to continue this program on an annual basis at no charge to attendees.
