Business Wire Names Angela Mendola As Manager Of Strategic Products

Business Wire today signalled its commitment to introducing a dynamic, interactive approach to traditional Features by naming innovative industry veteran Angela Mendola as manager, strategic products.

Mendola plans to leverage Business Wire’s patented “NX” multimedia news distribution platform, coupled with Business Wire’s unique product offerings including the Smart News Release and EON, to provide clients with exciting new ways to communicate directly with consumers.

Mendola, a 15-year veteran of the commercial newswire industry, also will be responsible for developing new consumer-oriented services that go beyond wire delivery. She reports to Phyllis Dantuono, Business Wire’s co-chief operating officer, who announced her appointment.

Mendola was instrumental in pioneering the podcasting of features, and has conducted many feature writing workshops and webinars. Earlier in her career, Mendola worked in the On Air promotions department of Capital Cities/ABC.
