Air Transport Business Development, Inc. (ATBD) is pleased to announce its role as advisor to Skybus Airlines, Columbus, Ohio in the selection, negotiation and acquisition of its Airbus A319 fleet and support contracts since December 2005.

Skybus has sixty-five firmly ordered Airbus A319s and a further ten A319s via operating leases to support it’s entry into revenue operations in May 2007. ATBD advised Skybus on acquisition and support contracts from Airbus, General Electric, CFM, Thales, Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Goodyear, Bucher and Recaro. Aircraft operating lease contracts have included, ILFC, Skyservice and Virgin America.

Skybus is the next generation of low-fare carriers, based in Columbus, Ohio, flying new, fuel efficient Airbus A319 jets. “ATBD’s extensive experience in aircraft and equipment evaluation and selection was invaluable to Skybus,” said Skybus President Ken Gile.

“ATBD is proud to have Skybus as a key ATBD customer,” said ATBD CEO Dave Hopkins. “We have advised Skybus from the earliest days of their fleet acquisition decisions in 2005 through to the start of revenue operations. Skybus ultra-low fares will bring air transportation within reach of a new market of air travelers. We wish them every success for the future
