Version3 Provides Simple Sign-On (SSO) to Premium Standard Farms
July 20, 2005-Columbia, SC; Version3, Inc., developers of Version3 Simple Sign-On (SSO) announced today that Premium Standard Farms, based in Kansas City, MO has completed its enterprise deployment of Simple Sign-On 2.0.
Premium Standard Farms, one of the largest pork producers in the United States, required the management of multiple applications and their passwords. The need to address regulatory compliance issues was another factor in the selection. They chose Version3 Simple Sign-on to address its identity management challenges and application access management issues. The chosen solution needed to be able to further improve service to its employees and increase the secure access management of its own IT applications, while simplifying its employees’ daily log-in to their business environment.

Version3 assumes a Windows login and access to Microsoft Active Directory to enable its Simple Sign-On product. Enterprise, Web and Enhance Authentication editions are offered to customers. Policy data is stored in AD and a built-in authorization engine is leveraged for policy reinforcement.
To further the benefits to Premium Standard Farms, Version3 Simple Sign-On (SSO) aided the company with their Sarbanes-Oxley activities by enhancing their network security and protecting sensitive corporate databases and information.
