CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Display System (IDS) has been certified on a Piaggio 180 aircraft. The installation was performed by Jet Works in Denton, Texas.

“Pro Line 21 IDS offers Piaggio 180 operators a path to larger informative LCD displays with new content - such as electronic charts and graphical weather available from our IFIS (Integrated Flight Information System) offering to increase situational awareness and aircraft value,” said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. “This upgrade can also include the latest attitude and heading reference system - the AHS-3000 - for enhanced reliability.”

Pro Line 21 IDS offers an LCD display upgrade program to existing flight decks without the full expense normally associated with major retrofits. The system integrates next-generation liquid crystal displays and superior graphics technology with existing Traffic Alert Collision Avoidance Systems, Terrain Awareness Warning System, communication, flight management and autopilots systems. More information on Pro Line 21 IDS is available at www.rockwellcollins.com/IDS.

Rockwell Collins AHS-3000 features digital quartz micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors that provide heading and attitude information to the flight deck and other on board systems. Its advanced construction includes no moving parts and promises up to a 10,000-hour mean time between failure ratings.
