Notice on appeal against a decision adopted by the European Commission

Toshiba Corporation (hereafter Toshiba) has announced that it will bring an action to the European Court of First Instance seeking annulment of the European Commission’s decision to impose fines on Toshiba for infringement of EU Competition Law in the gas insulated switchgear (GIS) market. Following its own investigation, Toshiba contends that it has not found any infringement of EU Competition Law.

Toshiba will bring a robust appeal to the Court.
