Rockwell Collins HF radios selected for Chinese embassies

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Rockwell Collins has been selected by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to provide High Frequency (HF) radios to enhance communication between the country’s embassies located throughout the world.

The Chinese MoFA selected Rockwell Collins URG-III radios, a state-of-the-art family of HF communications equipment featuring full remote control, Automatic Link Establishment and high-speed, single-tone data transmission.

“With this award, we continue to build momentum toward our goal of establishing long-term relationships with our Chinese customers,” said Bruce King, vice president and general manager of Communications Systems for Rockwell Collins. “Coupled with last year’s HF contract with the China Civil Aviation Administration, we continue to broaden our customer base in the region.”
