According to the agreement, Google will receive coupons and various business data online from PennySaverUSA.com and its affiliate publishers, including business name, mailing address, telephone number(s), e-mail address, hours of operation, payment methods and other relevant data. The coupons offer savings from local small and medium-sized businesses all across the United States, from dry cleaners to dentists and from handymen to pizza stores.’

“The shopper and free community papers in America have strong local ties and advertising relationships with small- and medium-sized business in nearly every town in America,” said Loren Dalton, president, PennySaverUSA.com. “We service small businesses across America that traditional media outlets tend to overlook. Through this relationship, we can provide these same businesses with a doorway into Google and its network of Internet advertising. When this information is posted on Google Maps™, as well as PennySaverUSA.com, our local business customers gain additional exposure to online shoppers who otherwise may not get detailed information online about their products or services.”

“The addition of the shopper and free community paper industry’s business data, combined with its local feet-on-the-street sales force, will allow small and medium businesses to reach more potential customers looking for the products and services they provide,” said Eric Stein, director of local sales, Google. “For Google and Google Maps users, they will have the ability to find local business information in both subject and geographic areas of immediate interest.”
