Composite Creation and Maintenance Solution Addresses Newly Released Composite Performance Reporting Standards

SANTA MONICA, July 11, 2005 –- Continuing its global rollout of The Wilshire iQuantumsm, an integrated performance measurement, performance attribution and risk management solution for multi-currency, multi-asset class portfolios, Wilshire Associates Incorporated today announced the North American launch of The Wilshire iQCompositesm, an automated composite creation, maintenance and reporting solution that is an integral component of The Wilshire iQuantum suite.

“The Wilshire iQComposite was developed specifically to address the performance reporting requirements of the recently revised GIPS® standards. For more than three decades, Wilshire has quickly responded to the changing needs of institutional investment managers by providing the most robust performance and risk analytics in the investment industry,” commented Dennis A. Tito, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Wilshire Associates. “The Wilshire iQComposite, and The Wilshire iQuantum of which it is a part, are yet additional examples of our commitment to provide the marketplace with the very best investment technology solutions.”

According to Senior Managing Director Robert J. Raab, Jr., who heads the firm’s Wilshire Analytics business unit, the Wilshire iQComposite is a natural addition to the popular Wilshire Quantum Series, a suite of tools which assists organizations with portfolio analysis, management and reporting. Wilshire Analytics develops and provides superior risk management, portfolio analysis, asset allocation and performance measurement solutions to fund managers, banks, insurers, consultants and other institutional investment organizations around the world.

“The Wilshire iQComposite is designed to provide the investment manager with a solution to streamline the composite maintenance process,” Raab noted. “Our Composite Expression Builder allows firms to automate their composite creation tasks while offering detailed audit trails to assist with the verification process. The Wilshire iQComposite uses a flexible report writer to create presentation-ready composite performance and risk reports. It also offers a single source for all necessary composite disclosures and facilitates the composite and firm definition requirements,” Raab concluded.

The Wilshire iQComposite stores daily portfolio market values, cash flows and returns passed from a firm’s system of record. Alternatively, clients can choose to have iQComposite calculate returns based on GIPS-compliant performance measurement methodologies. The composite administration, audit and verification reports detail portfolio activity within their respective composites and automatically determine which portfolios belong in which composites based on user-defined composite definitions. iQComposite also allows clients to define their firm as set forth in the GIPS standards.
