Delta Airlines To Continue Northeast Expansion By Connecting Key Business Markets With Boston, Allentown, Burlington And Beyond
Delta Air Lines will offer customers in Allentown, Pa.; Islip, N.Y.; and Burlington, Vt. increased choice and convenience in air travel this summer with new nonstop service to Boston and connecting opportunities beyond to more than 100 daily departures to 35 cities. The new service is part of Delta’s continued expansion at Boston and complements recently announced service between Boston and the New York cities of Albany, Watertown, Ogdensburg and Massena.

As Boston’s largest carrier in terms of flights and destinations, Delta is pleased to continue expanding the choices our customers have for travel to their favorite destinations,” said David Bishko, Delta’s staff vice president of Alliances. “We’re excited to inaugurate service between Boston and Albany, Watertown, Ogdensburg and Massena, and look forward to the start of new flights to Allentown, Islip and Burlington.”
Delta Connection carrier Big Sky Airlines will operate the new service using 19-seat Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, featuring stand-up cabins. Customers in these cities will enjoy:
* Two round-trip flights between Boston and Allentown, effective
July 15, with a third round-trip flight starting Aug. 20
* Two round-trip flights between Boston and Burlington, effective
* Three round-trip flights between Boston and Islip, effective
Additionally, Delta will add a third daily round-trip flight between Boston and Albany, effective Aug. 20.
