Reynold’s Market Deploys New NCR POS Solution Including Two-Sided Thermal Receipt Printing
ATLANTA – Striking a blow for the environment as well as operational effectiveness, Montana-based supermarket Reynold’s Market has deployed a new point-of-sale (POS) solution featuring two-sided receipt printing from NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR).
National Information Systems (NIS), an NCR RealPartner headquartered in Billings, Mont., is responsible for the sale, installation and maintenance of the solution, which includes NCR POS application software as well as hardware.
“Our new NCR solution from NIS is proving to be an outstanding investment for us,” said Reynold’s Market Owner and General Manager Ron Barone. “We are especially excited about the two-sided receipt printing technology. Besides reducing our paper roll needs, it allows us to visibly demonstrate our concern for the environment. At the same time, it opens the door for future new marketing opportunities with promotional messaging and a different color on the back of our receipts.”
The NCR solution, initially deployed at the five-lane Reynold’s Market in Sidney, Mont., includes NCR Advanced Checkout Solution software, NCR RealPOS™ workstations with the NCR DynaKey™ cashier interface, NCR RealPOS two-sided thermal receipt printers, NCR RealScan bi-optic bar-code scanners and NCR RealPOS electronic payment terminals. In addition, Reynold’s purchases two-sided thermal paper from NIS and NCR’s Systemedia Division.
The independent chain, which has partnered with NIS for its store technology needs since 1996, operates four other supermarkets in Montana.
“We anticipate working with NIS to extend this NCR solution to our other locations in the future as we continue our technology refresh,” Barone said.
“Reynold’s Market has an enthusiastic and loyal customer base, built through a dedication to providing great service and supported by their effective use of information technology,” said NIS President Bryon Stiller. “A good example of this is the way they have embraced NCR’s two-sided receipt printing technology – an investment that will pay dividends to their bottom line as well as their public image.”
