Avid Technology Launches Avid Academic Partner Program To Assist University And College Students Worldwide Prepare For Careers In The Media

(NASDAQ: AVID) today announced the launch of the Avid Academic Partner (AAP) program, a worldwide initiative designed to assist colleges and universities in preparing students for successful careers in the media industry. The AAP program delivers affordable, integrated Avid product offerings and courseware as well as the ability to achieve Avid-Certified Campus status. Additionally, participants in the Avid AAP program will be eligible for various faculty development grants and student scholarships, and the opportunity to have high-profile industry professionals spend a day on campus, courtesy of Avid.

Have the opportunity to become an Avid Certified Campus. Certified schools will receive regular updates to the Avid curriculum to teach Avid courses and administer Avid Certified User exams;

Be eligible to apply for Avid faculty development

Be eligible to have high-profile, practicing media professionals spend a day on campus to interact with students, provide valuable insight into real-world creative and career choices and offer advice about how to prepare for the competitive job market;
