Chartered’s Top Executive Honored at Electronics Industry’s Premier Gala Event

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (Nasdaq: CHRT and SGX-ST: Chartered), one of the world’s top dedicated foundries, today announced that its president and chief executive officer, Chia Song Hwee, was honored with the EE Times Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Award for Executive of the Year. Honors were presented at the EE Times ACE Awards Gala on April 3, 2007, as part of the Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley, the largest electronic systems design event in North America.

The ACE Award for Executive of the Year recognizes an individual who brought leadership, technological and fiscal vision to a company, organization or company division.
