Singer/Songwriter Emilio Gotay Inks Deal with TRL Records

LOS ANGELES, July 1 -- Singer /Songwriter and New York/Puerto Rican native Emilio Gotay has signed a development deal with THE RECORD LABEL (TRL Records), an independent label with a strong distribution arm, Sony/BMG World wide. Gotay’s deal with TRL will allow the talented artist to continue to write/produce and perform all music for his upcoming untitled debut CD in the late fall.

“I sang for the first time when I was seven years old, at Sunday mass in a church where my father was a co-pastor, it was an incredible feeling...I knew singing was something I had to do, people kept pushing for me to pursue a singing career,” says Emilio Gotay from the Miami recording studio where he is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming single “Quiero Estar Contigo.” The single, a romantic ballad with a blend of up-tempo beats is expected to be delivered to Radio later this month, while the CD Single has a scheduled release date of Aug. 23.

While growing up, Emilio was musically inspired by several legendary artists including Hector Lavoe, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Julio Iglesias. Apart from songwriting and singing, Gotay is also a gifted Piano player, an instrument he learned to play while admiring his older brother’s talents of playing lots of instruments. In support of the single “Quiero Estar Contigo,” Emilio Gotay will embark in the next few of weeks on a promotional tour throughout the United States, and Puerto Rico.
