New Extrusion Line Opens in Switzerland

WEBWIRE

The European Technical Center (ETC) in Meyrin, Switzerland, recently celebrated the opening of a new extrusion line. More than 200 colleagues from DuPont Engineering Polymers (EP) and other DuPont businesses attended the event.

The investment in this technology will support multilayer and corrugated extrusion applications for EP in all regions, and represents the development of a global Application Center of Excellence.

“ETC Meyrin now is the center of excellence for extrusion technology,” said Alain Baronnier, director, Marketing & Sales, DuPont Europe, Middle East & Africa. Alain also described opportunities for further growth, particularly for applications where multilayer and/or corrugated constructions are required, such as a crank case ventilation hose made with DuPont™ Hytrel® and DuPont™ ETPV.

“This line will provide the only corrugation capability within DuPont,” said Christophe Chervin, leader, European Extrusion Technology, DuPont Engineering Polymers. He highlighted the technical capabilities of the line, including the ability to produce multilayer and/or corrugated tubes.
