AUSTIN, Texas, - Buffalo Technology has teamed up with Biohazard Computers to fund a system for an auction to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Buffalo donated a FireStix PC2-8000 2GB memory kit for the auction. Kerry Morris, Director of the Memory Division for Buffalo, said “Working together with other companies in our industry is always an honor, especially when we come together to benefit such a great cause like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.”

The system made its debut at NVIDIA’s recent launch of their elite chipset and video card combination, GeForce 8800GTX. Biohazard contributed by enlisting their well-known airbrush artist Scott Takes to provide the custom finish with a portrait of Adrianne Curry on the left side of the case. Scott Takes’s work has been featured on the Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-off and the Speed Channel’s Corbin’s Ride-on, and Adrianne Curry has starred in reality TV shows including America’s Next Top Model, the Surreal Life, and My Fair Brady. At the debut, Adrianne further enhanced the case by signing it with “Come play with me! Love Always, Adrianne Curry.”

Inside the system is a multitude of component upgrades which can be seen though the window-like feature on the right side of the system, beginning with Biohazard’s integration of their powerful Forced Air Thermal Exchange (F.A.T.E.) cooling system. The system is built with a solid eVGA 680i SLI motherboard, and gains even more speed and performance with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 dual core processor. The Buffalo FireStix PC2-8000 2GB kit enables extremely high over-clocking, performance stability and low latency. In addition, the system is equipped with an enormous 500GB hard drive for superior storage, a generous 1000W power supply and includes two GeForce 8800GTX video cards running in SLI. To finish off the masterpiece, Biohazard incorporated their Stable Hyper OverClock process (SHOC) to ensure the system achieves its maximum potential. Once purchased, the winning bidder will have the option to further customize the system.
