LA Sheriff’s Department Has a New State-of-the-Art Customized Mobile Incident Command Center

DOWNEY, Calif. - MMTAT has completed the custom design, manufacturing and testing of a new 38-foot, state-of-the-art Mobile Incident Command Center (MICC) and 28-foot Mobile Rehabilitation Trailer (MRT) for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).

MMTAT’s collaborative staff of engineering and IT experts designed and manufactured these robust command-level vehicles to meet the Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s most demanding tactical and special event operational requirements as well as LA County’s vital “Emergency Ordinance” and state and federal design requirements.

The innovative design and outfitting of this unique MICC, will serve the LASD’s five critical Standardized Emergency Management Systems (SEMS) functional areas of Operations/Communications, Planning/Intelligence, Finance/Administration, Logistics and Recovery in a fully integrated organizational structure. The robust design and progressive engineering of this MICC, with its additional 75 square feet of expandable and ergonomically-designed command space, was designed for maximum command, control and communication functionality. The accompanying multipurpose Mobile Rehabilitation Trailer (MRT) will also allow the Incident Command Center to function at a high state of readiness regardless of the operating area’s rugged environmental conditions or extended on-site duration requirements.
