Sysco Food Services Of Arizona Names Donald W. Staley Its President And Chief Executive Officer

SYSCO Corporation (NYSE:SYY), North America’s largest foodservice marketer and distributor, announced today that Donald W. Staley has been named president and chief executive officer of Sysco Food Services of Arizona, Inc. Mr. Staley has served most recently as executive vice president of Sysco Food Services of Detroit, LLC and will assume his new role effective April 1, 2007, succeeding J. Michael Dickson who is retiring.

Mr. Staley, 54, began his SYSCO career in 1987 as a merchandiser for the Detroit operation. He was promoted to director of merchandising in 1990 and in 1993 he progressed to vice president of merchandising. In 2004, he was promoted to his current position. Prior to joining SYSCO, Mr. Staley held a variety of sales and management positions in the foodservice industry. He is a member of SYSCO’s Merchandising Advisory Council.

Mr. Staley was born in Washington, DC, and raised in Batavia, NY. He is a 1974 graduate of Duke University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics and history. He and his wife, Marcy, have three children and will relocate to the Arizona area in the near future.
