Consumer Technology Veteran Phil Carpenter to Lead Allison & Partners

SAN FRANCISCO - Allison & Partners, a national independent communications firm, has announced Phil Carpenter as general manager of its San Francisco office. He will lead the office and its new business initiatives in the areas of consumer, professional services, consumer technology and nonprofit and government affairs.

Before that, he was Vice President of Corporate Marketing for SideStep, the company that created the travel search category. He has also held senior marketing management roles at RemarQ, PointCast, Intuit and Mozart Systems. At Regis McKenna, Inc., he developed marketing and communications strategies for companies such as IBM, Software AG and Texas Instruments.

Carpenter is the author of eBrands: Building an Internet Business at Breakneck Speed (Harvard Business School Press) and has taught marketing classes for the Stanford University Continuing Studies Program. He received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Stanford University.
