FAIRFAX, Va. - The Office of Loans and Scholarships at the United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry in Nashville, TN, has selected Datatel Colleague® as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Colleague was chosen to replace the agency’s legacy software that lacked flexibility and integration with its overall enterprise environment. Datatel Colleague Student, WebAdvisor, and ActiveApply were selected.

“Identifying software that could not only complement and enhance what we are doing, but also enable us to do many things that we can’t do because of our legacy system, was a top priority for us,” said Angella Current-Felder, executive director of the Office of Loans and Scholarships at the United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry. “After investigating and reviewing many vendors and their software, we chose Datatel, and we are anticipating that it will enable us to enhance our operations and move us further into responding to our constituents in new and exciting ways.”

The United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry manages and supports 123 schools, colleges, and seminaries; 700 campus ministries; and 63 annual conference boards of higher education and campus ministry. Its purpose is to equip those with applicable skills seeking to enter into pastoral or missionary ministry throughout the world.

“Datatel is very excited to work with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry,” said Bill Knight, Datatel vice president of sales. “We look forward to the successful implementation and utilization of Colleague and resulting streamlined processes for the staff and students.”
