Elsevier is pleased to announce its renewed publishing partnership with the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS). Elsevier and the E-MRS will publish the Symposia of the E-MRS Spring Meeting which takes place from 28 May to 1 June, 2007 in Strasbourg.

The topics covered by the Symposia will be published in Elsevier materials, chemistry and physics journals which include Thin Solid Films and Materials Science and Engineering B.

“We are committed to building a unique, long-term relationship to help the E-MRS achieve its publishing goals,” noted Deborah Logan, Publisher for Elsevier’s Materials Engineering list, “and to developing valuable new services and programs for the E-MRS in meeting the information needs of their members.”

Paul Siffert, Chairman at the E-MRS, adds, “Our partnership with Elsevier materials allows E-MRS to work in a very collaborative way in publishing on a world-wide scale and thereby to serve our members coming from 55 countries, the broader materials research community, and all who benefit from solid knowledge about materials science - now and for the future.”

Elsevier also publishes a series of materials monographs in association with the E-MRS. Titles published in this series so far include: Materials Surface Processing by Directed Energy Techniques; Recent Advances in Laser Processing of Materials; and Nanotechnology for Microelectronics and Optoelectronics.
