Bayer MaterialScience raises prices for hydroxyacrylates and polyesters

Leverkusen – In the region Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Bayer MaterialScience AG is raising the selling prices for hydroxyacrylates and also saturated and unsaturated polyesters by an average of EUR 0.13/kg effective April 1, 2007. The persistently high cost level for raw materials and energy cannot be offset by internal measures to increase efficiency alone. With this measure, the company wants to safeguard sufficient production capacities for the market and the supply of product with the quality the market demands.

Should the situation in the global markets for raw materials continue to deteriorate, Bayer MaterialScience reserves the right to make further timely adjustments to its selling prices in response to rising costs.
