ATLANTA - Planet Smoothie, one of the country’s most sought after smoothie concepts, reveals the face behind the Cup, the concept’s long-standing brand icon. After seeing his comical online video submission, featuring a snappy, self-produced theme song entitled “I Wanna Be Your Cupman,” fans and Planet Smoothie have selected Joel Moss as Cupman. On March 15 in Orlando, Moss will kick off a 30-day, nationwide tour highlighting activities around the country that are Good for You, Good for the Planet, culminating in and around Earth Day.

Fueled in part by a menu of smoothies from Planet Smoothie, Cupman will travel more than 3,000 miles, stopping in 20 cities across the country. At each stop, he will participate in a locally based eco-friendly effort. For example, Cupman will make organic chocolate bars inside Indianapolis’ Endangered Species Organic Chocolate Company. In St. Louis, he will learn more about energy efficient systems, recycled products and waste reduction practices at the EarthWays Center. At Bergey Windpower Company in Oklahoma City, Cupman will explore alternative forms of energy. Moss will travel shotgun in an eco-friendly vehicle, posting text and video blog entries about his travels and Good for You, Good for the Planet activities along the way.

“I’m eager and energized about traveling across the country as a giant cup,” says Moss. “I love comedy, music and travel, and the Cupman tour will give me the opportunity to do all three, all while practicing my superhero skills.”

The Cupman Coast-to-Coast Tour includes stops in the following 20 cities:

Orlando, Fla.
Jacksonville, Fla.
Hilton Head, S.C.
Atlanta, Ga.
Athens, Ga.
Birmingham, Ala.
