SALT LAKE CITY - Deep Blue Marine Inc. has been retained to assist CROSS MARINE PROJECTS in the recovery of the Cirrus 22R private aircraft that crashed in Lake Powell at the end of February.

Jim Cross, president of Cross Marine Projects, said, “Our two companies have worked together on other projects and have been able to perform well together. The last job we did together was bringing up 160 tons of cable and equipment from the Colorado River, this job will require different equipment and techniques, but we are looking forward to this recovery.”

Wilf Blum, president of Deep Blue Marine, had this to say: “We would not do this type of job with just anyone, Cross is well known to be one of the best in the world at aircraft recovery, and when he calls we go. This recovery will be enjoyable for the fact that there is no loss of life related to it. The last aircraft we recovered together there were no survivors, this one, well, it’s Rulon, and he’s not checking out yet.”
