Papros Inc. announces MRPRO update for version 1.1 of the IPC 1752

San Jose, CA, Mar 12, ‘07 / /- Papros Inc.’s upgrade of its MRPRO software takes full advantage of the new features in the recently announced version 1.1 of the IPC 1752 Material Reporting standard. The program also contains a module to convert data written to the older version of the IPC 1752 forms into the latest version 1.1 standard format. Conversions can be done for hundreds of parts at a time in a single batch and in a robust manner.

A very easy-to-use program, MRPRO prepares a Product Material Content Report in conformance with WEEE, RoHS (EU, China, California etc.), EIA, JGPSSI, JEDEC and other similar evolving standards. It also enables the product and part specific “X” and “O” type labeling for China RoHS by running through BOMs and flagging parts which have substance compositions (maximum by homogeneous layers) that exceed regulated substance thresholds. The Obsolescence Management Report prepared by MRPRO can be deployed across the corporate intranet and internet for information access across the enterprise and the entire supply chain using the latest AJAX enabled web client that optimizes data transfer and increases throughput robustness. It shows the lists of region/ issue specific compliance criteria and the product’s/part’s status per the criteria. It also shows End of Life (EOL) timeline, disposal method at EOL, WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme links and any other comments by the due diligent authorized issuer/maintainer of the data. A separate form also opens up IPC 1752 xml data over the web and displays maximum compositions for all JIG substance categories. Another form can open and display pertinent email links, links to important due diligence communications including links to End of Life notices and Product Change notices. The AJAX enabled is designed to work for all commonly used web browsers, on individual computers, on the corporate intranet or on the internet.
