Washington, DC - March 12, 2007 - Mindshare Interactive Campaigns is pleased to announce that David Rapp, former Editor and Senior Vice President of Congressional Quarterly, Inc, is joining Mindshare Interactive Campaigns as a senior consultant in its editorial services practice.

BACKGROUND:
For the past 10 years Rapp was the top editorial executive of Congressional Quarterly Inc., a Washington, D.C. publisher of information on government and politics. He oversaw the convergence and growth of CQ’s print and online publications, managing an integrated newsroom of 130 reporters, editors, researchers and database managers.
Rapp was a guiding force in CQ’s transformation from a small, print-based news and research organization into a cutting-edge “knowledge” company that revolves around its award-winning online platform, CQ.com.

Rapp also oversaw the design, launch and operations of seven new specialty publications, both subscription and advertising based, all distributed exclusively on the Web. During that time, he also redesigned and repositioned CQ’s major print products, the CQ Weekly news magazine, the CQ Today news daily and CQ’s Politics in America, the most authoritative reference book on members of Congress, to attract and incorporate new advertising revenue streams.

Rapp joins others from Mindshare who have experience with such media companies as America Online, 20th Century Fox, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Indianapolis Star and Tribune, and National Journal.

QUOTES:

“David adds depth to our ability to help media companies and other information rich organizations fully leverage interactive opportunities,” said Dan Solomon, Mindshare Interactive Campaign’s CEO. “David has been a leader of the successful transformation of a media company into the new media era.”

“The Mindshare team is distinctive in the way it can help organizations successfully incorporate new media techniques, whether it’s the Web, social media or mobile devices,” said Rapp. “This is the right place for me to help the leaders of media and information-rich organizations make the right strategic business decisions but to also put into place the right creative, technical and organizational resources to make the strategy come to life.”
