Alcatel-Lucent appoints Christian Reinaudo as President of Europe & North activities

Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that Christian Reinaudo is the President of the company’s Europe and North* activities. He will also continue in his current role as Integration Program Office (IPO) leader and Steering Council Member. His new responsibility is effective immediately.

In line with Alcatel-Lucent’s business model, regional presidents are responsible for customer relationships, achieving sales, managing the overall sales process as well as the regional operations.

Before his current role as Corporate Executive Vice-President in charge of the Integration Program Office, Christian Reinaudo led the Alcatel Optics Group for four years and then led Alcatel’s Asia Pacific Operations for three years. Christian Reinaudo has been a member of the Alcatel Executive Committee since 2000.

Vin Molinaro, President of Europe and North for Alcatel-Lucent since December 1, 2006, has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.



* Europe and North Region includes the Benelux countries, the Baltics, the Nordics, Germany, UK and Ireland, Russia, the CIS region, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Slovakia.



Biography
Christian Reinaudo leads the Integration Team for Alcatel-Lucent. Previously he was Executive Vice President; Integration Project Team Leader for Alcatel, and member of the Alcatel Executive Committee. In this current role, Christian Reinaudo was responsible for managing the integration and transition process associated with the merger with Lucent Technologies.
Prior to that in 2003 Christian Reinaudo was President of Alcatel Asia Pacific. From 1999 to 2003 he held the role of President of the Alcatel Optics Group. In 1984, he joined Alcatel’s Cable activities where he held various positions before becoming President of Alcatel’s submarine networks in 1997. Christian Reinaudo joined Alcatel in 1978 working in the research center at Marcoussis, France.
Christian Reinaudo is a graduate from the Ecole de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de Paris and holds a doctorate from the University of Paris.
