STOCKTON, Calif. - Idearc Media Corp., publisher of the Verizon Yellow Pages and home to Superpages.com, has opened a new sales office in Stockton, Calif., and is scheduled to publish the Stockton-Lodi Verizon Yellow Pages in November 2007.

The Stockton-Lodi Verizon Yellow Pages will be the easiest to read, easiest to use and easiest to find directory and will feature the largest font size of all competing directories in the area. The book will also include community pages, maps, coupons and restaurant guide on glossy magazine stock. In addition, select areas will receive a directory that features listings in English on one side and in Spanish on the other.

Idearc Media selected Stockton based on its positive business environment and proximity to other Idearc markets. The new directory will provide local businesses with an effective channel to reach potential customers when they are ready to make purchases. By expanding in northern California, Idearc will continue to add richer, more complete content to its Superpages.com site, as well as broadening its reach and appeal to large national advertisers.

Idearc, the official publisher of Verizon print directories, publishes more than 1,200 Verizon Yellow Pages in both Verizon telephone markets and in “independent” markets where Verizon does not provide telephone service. To date, Idearc operates in 42 independent markets from coast to coast.

“We are excited to be in Stockton because it is growing so rapidly,“ said Scott Hanle, president, Idearc Media. ”We believe that consumers know and trust Verizon’s national brand, which helps us connect more consumers with our advertisers and provide value like no other in the marketplace"
