FT.com makes key appointments to it’s Executive Team.
The Financial Times has made two key appointments to the FT.com executive team. MB Christie has been appointed Head of Product Management, FT.com and Nancy DePiano has been appointed Global Marketing Director, FT.com.
MB Christie will be responsible for the development and ongoing product management of FT.com. MB has extensive web development experience, including most recently as Head of Product Development at Rightmove.co.uk, the UK’s largest property website. Previously, she was Head of Web Services at The Stationery Office; Director of Product Development at QXL ricardo, the UK’s first major online auction site; and founder and president of her own Prague-based directory publishing business.
In addition to her wealth of online product development and entrepreneurial experience, MB was a journalist for five years, including at The Washington Post and The San Francisco Examiner.
Nancy DePiano will build and lead marketing operations for FT.com worldwide. She comes to the FT from Reuters, where she was Global Director of Interactive Marketing, responsible for all of Reuter’s consumer online products, including Reuters.com, Reuters.co.uk, Reuters.co.jp, and Reuters’ video and mobile products. As such, she was the senior marketer behind the dramatic success of Reuters’ expansion into consumer online media. She has also recently served as Reuters’ Global Director of Brand Marketing.
Both MB and Nancy will report to Ien Cheng, Publisher and Managing Editor of FT.com. Nancy will additionally report to Frances Brindle, Global Marketing Director of the Financial Times.
