Independent’s Day Music Conference Comes to Washington, DC

New York based entertainment marketing firm, Marketing Pros is hosting Independent’s Day 2004 on July 31, 2004 in Washington DC. ID 2004 is a one day music conference geared toward unsigned artists, producers and labels on how independent artists can put out their own project using the resources available in their community. Music industry professionals from Washington, DC, New York and surrounding areas will be on hand to educate these aspiring musicians on how to put out an independent project, market their brand and sell their records to their target audience.

ID 2004 consists of six power panels on topics covering legal issues, marketing, radio and technology, DJ battle, unsigned showcase celebrity after party, and power networking session eith a tribute ot the legends of go-go. Confirmed panelists included representatives from Tower Records, XM Radio, AllHipHop.com, Up Against the Wall. Confirmed celebrities include Emily from J Records and Akinyele who will be speaking on his experiences in the music industry as an independent artist.
