SAMSUNG Wins Best Buy Bravo! Award For Unprecedented Fifth Consecutive Year

Global Information Technology Leader Garners Coveted Award for its Computer Monitors

Irvine, CA -- Samsung, the world’s leading manufacturer of CRT and TFT computer monitors, has received the prestigious Best Buy Bravo! Award in the computer monitor merchandising category. The award is presented annually by consumer electronics retailer Best Buy. With the 2005 Bravo! Award, Samsung has now won in the computer monitor category for a fifth consecutive year -- an unprecedented feat never achieved by any other company in any category. The annual award recognizes Samsung for its passion and dedication to vision, speed and innovation, honesty and respect, responsiveness to the needs of Best Buy’s customers and business excellence.
The Bravo! Award was presented to Samsung on May 24, 2005 at a gala event honoring the winners. Of the nearly 2,400 vendors that Best Buy conducts business with, only 25 were selected as Bravo! Award winners. On hand to receive the award on behalf of Samsung were YJ Park, President of Samsung’s Information Technology Division (ITD), Sam Akkapeddi, Vice President of Retail Sales for ITD, BK Kang, Director of Display Business Management for ITD and Jack Baer, Director of Retail Sales for ITD.
