New West Chicago Business Park to Offer Businesses Advanced Communications Services From AT&T

Chicago, Illinois, February 2, 2007, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced that it has broken ground on a fiber-based, state-of-the-art technology infrastructure that will deliver high-quality services, superior reliability and significant data capacity to future tenants of the DuPage National Technology Park.

The technology initiative is the result of a preferred provider agreement with the AT&T Business Smart Moves® program and CenterPoint Properties, which is developing and marketing the 800-acre business park located in West Chicago and owned by the DuPage Airport Authority. The alliance is part of a growing trend in the commercial real estate business to make advanced communications services available in buildings and to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

“In today’s world, it’s not just about location. It’s about connectivity, speed and bandwidth,” said Fred Reynolds, senior vice president of development, CenterPoint Properties.

“AT&T is laying the groundwork, infrastructure, and connectivity for applications that will accommodate the demanding bandwidth and communications needs of businesses in the DuPage National Technology Park now and in the future.”

The AT&T partnership with CenterPoint Properties will deliver advanced technology, cost-effective service bundles, and an enhanced level of service to help make properties more attractive to current and prospective tenants who are seeking high-quality, superior reliability and tremendous data capacity.

The entire business park will be equipped with high-capacity broadband service and with a high level of security. Tenants will also benefit from a dual-entry fiber design that supports the highest-quality network performance and allows for uninterrupted service in the event of a fiber line cut or other equipment failure.

Access to reliable fiber-optic cable is increasingly important for companies choosing a business location. The technology infrastructure is ideal for companies that need to download high-bandwidth applications, such as financial and research data, blueprints, medical imaging or complex video instantly. The infrastructure also allows for secure data storage and disaster- recovery services.

“By using AT&T’s technology and infrastructure, we are able to provide unparalleled benefits of high-capacity broadband lines in addition to a suite of other communications services,” said Reynolds. “Working with the AT&T Smart Moves program is another way that we go beyond the brick and mortar of real estate and bring added value to our tenants.”

When the project is complete, DuPage National Technology Park tenants will also have access to AT&T local and long distance phone and data services, including videoconferencing, Internet access, local area network (LAN) connectivity and high speed data transfer. The AT&T Business Smart Moves program provides tenants with a single phone number for ordering all AT&T services, which simplifies the ordering process and enables faster provisioning of services to improve the customer leasing experience.

The AT&T Business Smart Moves program is a key member of the park’s Rapid Response Team, which aligns preferred vendors to offer dedicated services and amenities to DuPage National Technology Park customers. The Rapid Response Team helps customers navigate the challenges associated with moving to a new location.

“We have seen an increased demand for the delivery of advanced technology services to the commercial real estate market, as property managers look for innovative solutions to meet the growing demands of their tenants,” said Mike Welch, vice president, AT&T Business Smart Moves. “The technology we’re providing to the DuPage National Technology Park will be a key competitive differentiator for any business that takes advantage of what the business park has to offer.”

According to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the DuPage National Technology Park will create more than 2,000 new jobs with the project totaling more than 5.2 million square feet of office space and industrial properties.
