Emblaze Mobile phones to use Silent Communication software

Israeli start-up Silent Communication has announced the signing of a deal with Emblaze (LSE: BLZ) subsidiary Emblaze Mobile. Emblaze Mobile will include Silent Communication’s solution in several new cellular telephone models to be produced at Innostream’s factory in South Korea. Silent Communications will receive licensing fees for every device sold. Market sources believe that the Silent Communication’s proceeds from the deal will reach $1 million in the first year.

Silent Communication’s software solution makes it possible to complete wireless calls when a party is unavailable. The patented solution makes it possible to communicate by cellular telephone, even when the telephone owner cannot answer an ordinary call. Silent Communication said that the solution facilitates complete voice connectivity to wireless users in any time and place.

This is Silent Communication’s first deal with a cellular telephone manufacturer. Emblaze will be the first wireless telephone manufacturer to launch the technology in its new device to be manufactured at the Innostream plant in South Korea. In addition to its financial aspect, the deal also has marketing importance, since the inclusion of the software in Emblaze’s telephones will prove the effectiveness of Silent Communication’s technology for purposes of sales to other telephone manufacturers.

With the announcement of the deal, Silent Communication co-founder and VP marketing and business development Max Bluvband said, “Our solution will enable Emblaze Mobile to distinguish its cellular devices from those of its competitors in the device manufacturing market. Emblaze Mobile manufactures 8-12 mobile telephone models a year, and the production capacity of its plant in South Korea is five million devices a year. This is an important business opportunity, which gives us a foothold in the Asian market. We’re also currently negotiating with fifteen other wireless operators and manufacturers around the world.”

Figures published by research companies indicate that wireless operators lose about 120 billion call minutes a year, costing them $20 billion, from calls that are not completed. Silent Communication says that installing its software in wireless phones will increase average revenue per user (ARPU) by $2.50 a month. A medium-sized operator with five million subscribers can therefore increase its revenue by $150 million a year
