Pöyry Awarded Engineering Contract In Stora Enso’s Rebuild Project In The USA

Jan. 26, 2007 - Pöyry’s Forest Industry business group has been awarded an engineering assignment by Stora Enso in their paper machine rebuild project at the Wisconsin Rapids mill in the USA. The value of the assignment is not disclosed.

Pöyry’s assignment comprises detail engineering and project management as well as commissioning and start-up planning services for PM12, and shutdown support services for BM13.

Stora Enso’s subsidiary Corenso will rebuild and restart PM12 for coreboard production at the Wisconsin Rapids mill in response to increased customer needs. The rebuild is designed to enhance asset and product quality, and improve cost competitiveness of Corenso’s North American operations. This investment also includes an upgrade of Corenso’s recycled fibre facility. The rebuild is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2008.
