Marel UK & Scanvaegt GB are merging

1/15/2007 - Marel UK and Scanvaegt GB have started the process of merging the businesses. The Managing Director of the merged company is Magnus Olason who was formerly the MD of Marel UK Ltd. The aim of the merger is to become a stronger supplier of quality products to the food processing industry and to build strategic partnerships with customers.

The aim of the merger is to become a stronger supplier of quality products to the food processing industry and to build strategic partnerships with customers. With respect to equipment sales, we will continue to propose the best solutions to meet customer requirements. With a wider range of products now available from Marel Group companies, we expect to do this better than ever.

Equipment sales:
Work has begun to integrate the sales teams in England, Scotland and Wales. The sales network in Ireland and in Northern Ireland will remain unchanged for the time being.

Spares and service:
The service networks will be merged and all operations of Marel UK will be moved to Scanvaegt´s headquarters in Leicester by the end of February. In the meantime, parts and service will be available through current channels. We will take all practical measures to guarantee that there will be no delays in obtaining spares and service during the merger process.
