Hewitt Appoints Leader of Corporate Development and Strategy

Hewitt Associates announced that it has appointed Matthew C. Levin to the new management position of senior vice president, corporate development and strategy, effective immediately.

2007-01-10 - LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. – Hewitt Associates, Inc., a global human resources services company, today announced that it has appointed Matthew C. Levin to the new management position of senior vice president, corporate development and strategy, effective immediately.

Levin, 33, who joins Hewitt from IHS Inc., where he served as senior vice president of corporate development and strategic planning, will be responsible for Hewitt’s corporate development program, with a particular emphasis on mergers, acquisitions and partnership opportunities, as well as strategic and growth initiatives for both its consulting and outsourcing business segments. He will report directly to Chairman and CEO Russ Fradin.

“As we reshape Hewitt and look to grow our market-leading capabilities around the world, Matt’s varied experience in organizational effectiveness consulting, banking and corporate development, and strong track record in negotiating transactions across a variety of industries will be great assets to our company,” said Fradin.

At IHS, a leading global provider of critical technical information and related decision support tools and services, Levin led the completion of 10 acquisitions in two years, as well as new business initiatives in emerging markets. He also contributed to IHS’ successful IPO in 2005.

Prior to IHS, Levin served as vice president, global operations officer for the human capital solutions business at Hudson Highland Group, Inc., where he was instrumental in repositioning and leading the consulting and solutions business to top-line growth and profitability. He also served as a management consultant specializing in strategic planning and organizational effectiveness at Sibson and Company, a global human capital consulting firm.

Levin began his career in the First Scholar Program at First Chicago NBD (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.). He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, where he also serves as a faculty member.
