Frost & Sullivan’s Excellence in Technology of the Year Award Presented to GB Environmental

London, January 10, 2007 – GB Environmental has been awarded the prestigious Frost & Sullivan 2006 European Excellence in Technology of the Year Award in the field of ultraviolet (UV) technology. The award recognises the advances GB Environmental has made in developing unique and innovative UV disinfection technologies. Capitalising on the inherent strengths of UV light as a form of disinfection, whilst improving energy efficiency and longevity of functionality of UV disinfection units, the engineering team at GB Environmental are already making inroads against traditional chemical disinfection and rival UV manufacturers.

After thorough analysis of the alternative disinfection processes available, leading business consultants at Frost & Sullivan’s agreed that GB Environmental’s new UV disinfectors, referred to as second generation designs, make UV an optimum choice of disinfection.

Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Rebecca Bright commented:

It does this by maintaining the lamps free from debris – a problem the majority of UV disinfection manufacturers have found difficult to overcome up until now.”

In addition, Frost & Sullivan was impressed by the energy efficient qualities of the technology, which has already attracted the attention of major leisure management groups across the UK.
