FileMaker Focuses on Integration with Web and with Office Applications with FileMaker Pro 8.5 at 2007 Macworld Expo

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Macworld Conference and Expo) – Jan. 8, 2007 - During this week’s 2007 Macworld Conference and Expo, at Moscone Center, San Francisco, FileMaker ( booth # 1225 ) will spotlight the web and application integration benefits of the FileMaker 8.5 product line, including the much acclaimed new FileMaker Web Viewer, which adds live web pages to database solutions. Another first-time appearance at Macworld will be booth theater demos of the FileMaker API for the popular PHP programming language, which allows developers to create web-based front-ends with a FileMaker back-end database.

FileMaker also announced today a new FileMaker Office Optimizer Kit that shows how to integrate FileMaker Pro 8.5 with Microsoft Office applications – plus a new charting database download that allows FileMaker Pro 8.5 users to turn data into dynamic Flash-based HTML charts (see related FileMaker news announcements at http://filemaker.com/company/newsroom/news/press_releases.html).

FileMaker is repeating its sponsorship of the now sold-out “Digital Photography Day,” January 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which will include live demos of how FileMaker Pro lets photographers manage, archive and share their images and EXIF data and also use FileMaker Pro to manage their total creative business.

Also making a return, after last year’s successful debut, is the popular FileMaker Pavilion ( booth # 1236 ), a showcase of real-world FileMaker Pro-based solutions from leading FileMaker solutions providers.

The main FileMaker booth will spotlight FileMaker Pro 8.5, FileMaker Pro 8.5 Advanced, FileMaker Server 8 and FileMaker Server 8 Advanced.
