Axis-Shield announces change in management structure
Dundee, Scotland, 3 January 2007: Axis-Shield (LSE:ASD, OSE:ASD), the international in vitro diagnostics company, today announces the promotion of Dr Ian Gilham to the new position of Chief Operating Officer with effect from January 1st 2007. Ian was previously Managing Director of the Laboratory Division and in his new role he will also assume responsibility for the Point-of-Care and Distribution Divisions. Ian will continue to report to Svein Lien, Chief Executive Officer, who will focus on strategy and business development. Prior to joining Axis-Shield in 2001, Ian held senior positions at GlaxoSmithKline, Abbott Laboratories, Celltech and Amersham International.
