Santa’s Miracle Fund Charity Event At Central Georgia Children’s Medical Center Macon, Georgia

WEBWIRE

This year Santa’s Miracle Fund will again perform its Christmas miracle for disabled children, of the Central Georgia Medical Center Children’s Hospital on Saturday, December 16, 2006 from 1pm to 4pm. This year children suffering from sickle cell disease will also be assisted.

The festivities will begin with a party where pizzas, soft drinks, hot chocolate, cookies and candy will be served. “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” will be shown followed by a visit from Santa. The children will then tell Santa what they would like for Christmas.

Christopher Turner, 19, is responsible for organizing and creating the Santa’s Miracle fund in Macon, for the third straight year. Chris began the Santa’s Miracle Fund charity during his senior year in high school 3 years ago.

Christopher strongly believes every child should have a good Christmas. After the children tell Santa what they would like, local limousine companies, whose owners donated their vehicles and drivers’ time, will transport the children to the Toys-R-Us in Warner-Robbins, Georgia to select the very gifts they asked for.

The limo companies donating their vehicles and services to benefit the children are: ACentral Georgia Livery Service (478-477-6153), L.L.C., Howard Hill owner, providing their black Tiffany Cadillac DTS, with David Canady, number one driver for ACentral Georgia Livery, donating his time.

Also contributing, a 22 passenger Navigator SUV, from Ashburn Georgia, when closer Macon limo companies were unavailable, is J.C.S. Limousine Service Incorporated (229-566-0222), of Ashburn, Georgia, owned and operated by Larry W. Coffee, Joe Jimerson and Currie Gipson.

ALLSTARS Limo Reservations (478-922-0042) assisted by organizing and requesting the donation of vehicle and driver from their network of local limo companies.

Courtney Stevens, Child Life Specialist at Children’s Hospital Medical contributed.

Last year 51 disabled children and their siblings were served by the fund, along with 20 pediatric patients with cancer.

The Santa’s Miracle Fund is a wonderful charitable cause to support this holiday season or anytime. Donations are tax deductible and as Chris Turner says “Your prayers for another successful year are much appreciated as well.”
