Airline continues investment in customer-focused technology as it rapidly expands across the globe

ATLANTA, Dec. 13, 2006 – Delta Air Lines is celebrating the 10th anniversary of delta.com, the airline’s award-winning Web site, as it continues to expand the site’s reach to global customers. As part of the anniversary celebrations and Delta’s transformation plan, Delta is enhancing delta.com with new technology and global language capabilities, which now includes Spanish and four additional languages launched this month – French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. With the addition of these languages, Delta’s customers now can use the convenient shopping and self-service functionality at delta.com in their native language for all important travel information, booking, seat assignments, flight check in, SkyMiles® award ticket booking, refunds, and much more.

As a cornerstone of Delta’s transformation plan, the company will continue to invest heavily in technology in 2007 and beyond. “Today nearly half of Delta’s tickets are sold via the Internet. Our self-service tools and delta.com have revolutionized the way Delta conducts business and provide new and easy methods for customers to shop for travel,” said Josh Weiss, Delta’s managing director of delta.com. “We’re implementing technology that offers customers more ways to quickly and easily interact with us – from nearly anywhere in the world – and we have passed cost savings and convenience on to them.”

Delta continues to adapt delta.com with new technology. Delta’s online customers will experience the following features in 2007:

* Online booking for SkyMiles Award Travel on partner airlines
* An online calendar view of available SkyMiles Award seats
* Global mobile access via devices like Blackberry™ and Treo™
* More payment options, such as PayPal, CheckFree and Western Union
* Additional languages: Russian, Chinese and Japanese
* Integrated travel and related services including hotel, car rental, theatre tickets, etc.

Delta.com serves more than a quarter-of-a-million customers per day in approximately 200 countries. With nearly 25 percent of all Delta tickets sold at delta.com, the Web site is a key component in the airline’s customer service and distribution strategy.

Delta.com customers may book travel and check in online, check seat assignments and up-to-date flight information, manage SkyMiles Award Travel redemptions, search for transportation and hotel accommodations and more. Additionally, Delta customers may earn bonus miles and avoid up to $15 in booking fees when they purchase tickets directly at delta.com. Delta’s Risk-free Cancellation policy allows customers to cancel certain tickets within 24 hours without penalty if they find lower fares. Now in its 10th year, delta.com was named “Best Airline Web Site” for 2006 by Business Traveler magazine.
