MuseGlobal Creates Customized Connections to the Elsevier XML Gateway

WEBWIRE

Salt Lake City, December 11, 2006 -- MuseGlobal Inc. and Elsevier today announced the deployment of two new Muse Source Packages to the Elsevier XML Gateway, enabling users to search more information in less time with greater efficiency.

Muse Source Packages allow Scopus and ScienceDirect customers to search and retrieve information from multiple sources simultaneously while accessing Elsevier’s high-quality content. In addition, they give customers a more stable connection to the Elsevier XML Gateway and better functionality. Scopus is a navigation tool covering the world’s largest collection of abstracts, references and indexes of scientific, technical and medical (STM) information. ScienceDirect is a platform that offers more than a quarter of the world’s STM information online.

Amanda Spiteri, Marketing Director, ScienceDirect, explained: “The MuseGlobal partnership will enhance existing metasearch capabilities with improved technology and allow ScienceDirect and Scopus customers to search our content in our native environment (from a single interface). It will also provide Elsevier with the highest level of authentication and monitoring details available.”

“Elsevier was keen to provide their customers with a complete metasearch experience, and they developed the XML Gateway specifically for Scopus and ScienceDirect,” stated Graeme Wilson, VP Partner Program, MuseGlobal.

MuseGlobal worked closely with Elsevier technical staff and the new Source Packages underwent extensive testing to guarantee a stable pre-release. Both companies will work directly with their customers to set up the appropriate user IDs and logons required to achieve optimum performance from the XML Gateway Source Package.
