MINNETONKA, Minn. – December 7, 2006 – Digi International (NASDAQ - DGII) announces that its MaxStream branded XBee™ product family has been ZigBee Certified by the ZigBee Alliance. The XBee and XBee-PRO OEM RF modules passed rigorous independent testing to become one of only four products to receive ZigBee certification.

“Obtaining this certification further solidifies the MaxStream brand as the leader in reliable and easy-to-use ZigBee products,” said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Digi International. “The XBee and XBee-PRO OEM RF modules present a uniquely robust solution to the many markets that are adopting wireless networking into their data communication applications.”

“Achieving ZigBee Certified Product designation is a true achievement and demonstrates to consumers, business and industrial users that they can safely purchase ZigBee Certified Products and be assured of networking performance,” said Bob Heile, chairman of the ZigBee Alliance. “MaxStream’s dedication to advancing ZigBee as the standard best suited for wireless sensor and control networks clearly demonstrates how companies are producing ZigBee solutions today to meet growing demand from product manufacturers around the world.”

The XBee and XBee-PRO modules were subjected to a variety of independent tests conducted by National Technical Systems, Inc.
