First International Digital Broadens Its irock! FM Transmitter Line

CHICAGO, IL -- May 2, 2005 -- First International Digital, Inc. (FID), maker of the popular irock!(R) family of digital audio devices and the leader in FM transmitter technology, today launched its newest Beamit(TM) wireless music adapter, the 410FM.

Beamit allows users to wirelessly broadcast music from portable audio devices to the car or home’s FM stereo and is compatible with any MP3 player, including the entire line of Apple iPods(R), laptops, and CD, mini-disc, and tape players. With a $19.99 MSRP, the 410FM is an ideal solution for budget-conscious iPod Shuffle and MP3 users.

The 410FM is powered by 2 AAA batteries, which provide approximately 13 hours of battery life, or the included 12VDC auto adapter. The device plugs into the headphone or lineout jack of any portable audio device and broadcasts in high fidelity, full stereo sound to one of 10 available FM frequencies (88.1-88.9 and 107.1-107.9 MHz). The device measures a compact 2.0“ x 2.8” x 1.0", weighing only 2.3 ounces with batteries.

The 410FM is the latest addition to FID’s line of highly rated FM transmitters. In late 2004, FID introduced the 440FM and 450FM.

The 440FM, optimized for 12 volt operation, is a one-piece unit that conveniently plugs into the car’s 12VDC cigarette lighter socket, enabling battery-free operation. The lightweight, uniquely designed 450FM, measuring a compact 3.2“ x 0.9” x 0.9", sends high fidelity, full stereo sound to your favorite FM stereo. The device is powered by 1 AAA battery, but also features optional battery-free operation, when used with the included 12VDC auto adapter. With 100 channel digital tuning and a signal distortion of less than 0.2 percent, the 450FM guarantees crystal-clear reception on your favorite station. The device’s MSRP is $39.99.
